ArtServe 2026 Impact Awards: Celebrating the Architects of South Florida’s Cultural Scene

ArtServe is set to host its fourth annual Impact Awards Gala on April 17, 2026, marking a significant moment for the South Florida arts community. Presented by Seacoast Bank, the evening serves as a formal recognition of the visionary leaders, educators, and artists who have fundamentally shaped the region’s cultural landscape. The event, held at ArtServe’s Fort Lauderdale headquarters, bridges the gap between grassroots artistry and high-level community advocacy.

Honoring the 2026 Impact Award Recipients

This year’s gala spotlights four individuals whose careers reflect a deep commitment to accessibility and creative excellence in Broward County. “The Impact Awards are about celebrating the people who pour their heart into this community,” says Jason Hughes, CEO of ArtServe. The 2026 honorees include:

  • Joy Strempack: A multidisciplinary artist and educator at Pine Crest School. Strempack is also a two-time Fort Lauderdale Magazine DJ of the Year and Creative Director for GoGreen EcoBin, blending environmental advocacy with performance art.
  • Jody Leshinsky: An arts advocate with over four decades of service, Leshinsky has been a cornerstone of the Broward Cultural Division and now oversees massive cultural programming at John Knox Village.
  • Sara Rogers: A veteran performing arts coach who has spent years mentoring actors at ArtServe. Her professional background includes national commercial work and iconic television credits like Miami Vice.
  • William “Willie” Riddle: Founder of the Generation Venetian Arts Society, Riddle is recognized for producing community-focused fine arts programming that tackles vital social issues.

A Night of Philanthropy and Celebration

Beyond the awards ceremony, the gala is a major fundraising vehicle for ArtServe’s mission as a creative incubator. Sponsored by FPL and OutClique, the evening will feature a curated gourmet dining experience, cocktails, and live entertainment. A silent auction will also be a central focus, offering guests the chance to support local arts initiatives while bidding on exclusive items and experiences.

Tickets for the event are available now, with individual seats priced at $100 or group packages of four for $300. As South Florida’s arts scene continues to grow on the international stage, events like the Impact Awards ensure that the local leaders driving that growth remain at the forefront of the conversation.
