ALYA Teams Up With Erica Campbell and D Smoke for Powerful Follow-Up Single, “Hope – The Sequel”

Grammy-winning singer and songwriter ALYA has announced the release of Hope – The Sequel, a new rendition of her original track Hope, featuring an impressive collaboration with fellow Grammy winner Erica Campbell of Mary Mary and Grammy-nominated artist and Rhythm + Flow winner D Smoke.

Building on the message of the original, Hope – The Sequel weaves together elements of gospel, hip-hop, and orchestral instrumentation to amplify its call for unity and resilience.

The track opens with a choral arrangement and a spoken-word prayer by D Smoke, setting the tone for what ALYA describes as “a mission to push hope even further.”

The song retains its original lyrics while adding new layers: live drums, bass, guitar, strings, and harp blend under the soaring vocals of ALYA and Campbell. Campbell, who lends her voice to the second verse and harmonizes throughout, says the song’s message resonates with the challenges and collective healing many communities continue to face.

Hope – The Sequel is produced by ALYA alongside Tim Carmon, whose credits include work with legendary artists across genres. Speaking on the collaboration, ALYA says, “I’m blessed and beyond fortunate to be able to call on such great people with great hearts to help me push the mission of hope further. There’s a brighter day ahead if you just hold on and believe.”

The single’s impact goes beyond the music charts. Proceeds from Hope – The Sequel will be donated to UNICEF USA to support children worldwide. ALYA, who has long been involved in philanthropic work, says that using her platform to support children’s welfare is central to her purpose as an artist.

The original Hope gained recognition for its uplifting lyrics and soulful delivery. With the sequel, ALYA and her collaborators aim to reach an even wider audience by combining contemporary production with a message of faith, perseverance, and collective action.

The release comes at a time when many listeners are seeking meaningful music with purpose, and the project highlights what ALYA calls “a return to songs that blend melody with mission.”

Hope – The Sequel is now available on major streaming platforms. For more information about the song and its mission, visit ALYA’s official website.
