Jean Shafiroff threw a lively birthday bash at her Park Avenue apartment on Monday, playfully insisting she’s “perpetually 49.”
Guests couldn’t help but speculate about her real age, with guesses ranging from 60 to 71. Shafiroff, however, kept mum, joking that her birthdate is a “security question.”
Known for her stunning gala appearances, Shafiroff didn’t disappoint, dazzling attendees with four different designer gowns in just two hours. She kicked off the evening in a white Wes Gordon dress, which she dubbed her “birthday cake dress” after attending his Carolina Herrera show earlier that day. She later slipped into creations by Victor de Souza and “Project Runway” alum Malan Breton.
Instead of gifts, Shafiroff encouraged donations to the American Red Cross to support California wildfire victims. Expressing her empathy, she remarked, “I hate fire… many people were very poor, or struggled… and they lost it.” She emphasized the importance of helping those in need, adding, “It’s always nice to do something rather than nothing.”
The soirée attracted notable figures like Julia Haart, Candace Bushnell, and Flo Anthony, making it a memorable evening of fashion and philanthropy.
